Freeport, IL – The 100 Men Who Care for Stephenson County recently presented a donation in the amount of $2,200 to the Salvation Army of Freeport. This was the first donation of the newly formed group, which selects local charities to support, and members all donate $100 to that charity.
The next meeting of 100 Men Who Care is Tuesday, August 9 at 6pm at the Eagles Club at 1200 W. Galena. Anyone who is interested in participating is welcome to come to the meeting. The only cost of participating is agreeing to support the chosen charity with a donation of $100. The group meets quarterly.
“The more men we have participate, the greater impact we can make on a selected charity,” said Bill Clow, one of the founding members of 100 Men Who Care for Stephenson County.
This group is modeled after the 100 Who Care model. There are scores of chapters throughout the country, including a 100 Women Who Care chapter in Stephenson County.
